Polysomnography

Polysomnographical examination is an examination of one’s sleep, during which the human body’s activities are registered. The trace is later analysed by the diagnosing doctor. The examination allows the doctor to estimate whether the patient suffers from sleep disorders or not, and, if yes, whether they are dangerous for the patient’s health and life.
Classical, i.e. full polisomnographical examination, is hard to reach due to high costs and complicated procedure. Therefore, patients suspected of OSA can undergo a screening test. Watch Pat 200 is a machine useful for the test.

Watch-PAT 200 is the most modern, innovative 6-channelled apparatus for screening tests of breathing disorders during sleep. It has unprecedented diagnostic possibilities. The apparatus can be used in home conditions after the patient undergoes a short training with the doctor. The simple construction and functionality of the apparatus allows the patient not to be stressed by hospital examination accompanied by many sensors attached to the body. Only this apparatus ensures the objectivity of screening tests comparable to the full polysomnographic examination and provides maximum comfort during the examination -  it does not fetter the movements with stripes for breath monitoring, it does not demand placing breath sensors below one’s nose. The suitability and precision of the Watch-PAT apparatus were acknowledged by many clinical tests. The results of these tests were published in the magazines: Sleep, Chest, Sleep Medicine, Cardiology, Somnologie. A full list of publications concerning Watch-PAT is available on the producer’s website and at the distributor’s.
