The method and intervention description
Orders before the intervention:
- being on empty stomach about 4 hours before the intervention (no food and drinks)
- having tests done:
1.HBS
2.coagulation system
3.morphology
The intervention:
The intervention is performed in ambulatory conditions, in a specially prepared surgery. First, regional, antinauseant anesthetic is administered. A radio wave generator with electrodes is used for the procedure. Next, the electrodes are inserted in expedient places. If necessary, the procedure can be extended by hypertrophic palatal and throat tissues removal, as well as hypertrophic cion removal. The procedure lasts from 20 to 40 minutes.
The interventions are performed in regional anesthetic which allows them to be conducted painlessly.
Post-intervention orderd:
- avoid hot baths and voice overuse for 3 – 5 days,
- do not eat until one hour after the intervention,
- avoid very hot meals, drinking fruit juice or alcohol for a week after the intervention.
Advantages of radiosurgery:
- better and quicker healing than in the case of using steal tools and laser,
- low postoperative pain,
- small swelling,
- minimal tissue damage,
- safe for the patient,
- the risk of hematoma and infection is significantly lowered.
